The Regional Services
Team is a staff team which operates across England, supporting the opening of new Scout groups and sections, and provide support to volunteer managers and growth supporters in their respective areas. The Regional
Services Team can support with the following specific projects
Growth
- Opening new Sections, Units and Scout Groups in communities across England
- Grow
your Group workshops (training and tools to help grow existing Scout groups, districts and counties)
- Adult
recruitment workshops (training and tools to help bring more adults into existing groups, districts and counties).
Supporting Key Line managers
- Group
Scout Leader induction events
- District
Commissioner inductions
- County
Commissioner appointment, searches and inductions
- Supporting
Regional Commissioners and County Commissioners on growth and development
initiatives.
Conferences
and events
- Delivering
growth and recruitment workshops and sessions at locally organised events
- Delivering
development planning workshops and sessions at locally organised events.
Support
to growth facilitators
- Supporting
Assistant Regional Commissioners (ARC) (Growth) to grow Scouting.
- Contributing
to the Induction of Growth Facilitators.
- Assisting
ARC (Growth) with identification and creation of development plans.
- Assisting
the ARC (Growth) with the identification of new provision.
- Advising
on the planning and implementation of funded development projects.
- Supporting
local development volunteers to grow Scouting.
- Delivering
recruitment training and induction opportunities.
- Delivering
new provision training and induction opportunities.
Support from our Resource Officer (based at Gilwell Park)
- Providing
resources, advice and remote support for the appointment of District
Commissioner searches.
- Providing
resources and advice for the appointment of Group Scout Leader searches.
- Providing
support to the digital delivery of certain elements of the District
Commissioner Induction.
