Group and District Maps

Thanks to volunteer colleagues proficient in the use of GIS systems, we have been able to make available maps of Districts and Groups that identify local schools, their census data, and some deprivation information. The link to the maps is at the bottom of this page, but please take the time to read this information first.

Finding your District or Group

District are names as per the District, however Group maps are labelled with 2016 District and Group registration numbers. You can find the correct name for your map from this document. We appreciate this is not ideal, but this is a result of how the GIS software outputs the information.

Information on the Maps

The school information shows the numbers of local children in the schools in that area as well as EAL and FSM. These should give some idea about the demographic of the area and help you build a picture in terms of the deprivation and diversity of the area.

Updating and accuracy

All information regarding the Groups location and numbers is obtained from the 2016 Census returns. If the information on there is incorrect then please use the contact details at the bottom of the map to let us know. We are currently discussing 2017-2018 and changes for the future but for now the maps will remain as PDF’s as a tool to support and identify gaps in provision for local managers and development volunteers.

How to use the maps

Access the maps

The maps are stored in a dropbox folder which you can access here. You do not need to create a dropbox account to access these files, they will load into a web page for you.
