Corporate Volunteering

Give a little time, make a huge difference!

The everyday adventure of Scouting is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support Scouts in a wide range of roles, from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee. We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
Our award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people. Our approach focuses on delivering quality Scouting to young people and supporting our adult volunteers to do this, while respecting how much time people can offer. By having this as our focus, we also aim to support our adult volunteers with what they want to get out of their volunteering.

4 Week Challenge

Today Scouting provides fun, friendship and life changing adventure to almost half a million young people in the UK, making us the country’s largest coeducational youth movement. We build confidence, self-esteem and help girls and boys, young men and women aged 6-25 develop the skills and values they need to succeed in life.
The Four Week Challenge has been designed to give you an insight into the world of Scouting, for you to see first-hand what takes places in 8,000 Scout Group across the UK and for you to see how you can be part of it.
We have a huge number of flexible volunteering opportunities and throughout your four weeks we can explore with you the many ways you can be part of Scouting. We will identify a local Scout Group and make initial contact to arrange for you to start the Four Week Challenge. There are four different youth sections that you can undertake the Four Week Challenge with.

Give our 4 week challenge a go. Come along and help out with a section for just 4 weeks! This will give you a chance to:

  1. Week one come along to meet the young people and the team and see what happens
  2. Week two start to help out with what’s going on, perhaps help run a game
  3. Week three have a better understanding of what is going and get more involved. Maybe run a programme activity
  4. Week four take an active role in the running of the Section meeting.

Come along for four weeks and make a difference.

Volunteer at Scout Adventures

There is always something to be done at our Scout Adventure Centres. You could choose to volunteer at a specific event, help out with maintenance or to deliver an agreed bespoke project. You could volunteer individually or as a group, for a day, a weekend, a week, a month or a year! The possibilities are endless.
