The everyday adventure of Scouting is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support Scouts in a wide range of roles, from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee. We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
Today Scouting provides fun, friendship and life changing adventure to almost half a million young people in the UK, making us the country’s largest coeducational youth movement. We build confidence, self-esteem and help girls and boys, young men and women aged 6-25 develop the skills and values they need to succeed in life.
The Four Week Challenge has been designed to give you an insight into the world of Scouting, for you to see first-hand what takes places in 8,000 Scout Group across the UK and for you to see how you can be part of it.
We have a huge number of flexible volunteering opportunities and throughout your four weeks we can explore with you the many ways you can be part of Scouting. We will identify a local Scout Group and make initial contact to arrange for you to start the Four Week Challenge. There are four different youth sections that you can undertake the Four Week Challenge with.
