Target shooting

Shooting (FS120004)

(Published January 2019 replacing version January 2015)

The Scout rules with regards to shooting with firearms are set out in Policy,  Organisation  and  Rules (POR).

Anyone proposing to arrange shooting as a Scout activity must be familiar with these rules and with the relevant law.

These pages have been created to help Leaders arrange target shooting activities and to facilitate discussion of the issues associated with target shooting. Examples of related activities not involving firearms and suitable for a wider age range are also included.
